Objective

  • Prerequisites: It is assumed that the participants know how to administer and operate PRTG Network Monitor or have previously participated in the course PEUP01 – The Core of PRTG.
  • Duration: 8 hours.
  • Description:

Practically every business operation at any modern company is based on information that is stored and managed in SQL (Structured Query Language) databases.
For a business to be successful, these databases must always be up and running.

Database crashes can be caused by hardware errors, faulty configurations, or too little disk space or memory. Corrupted databases with defective files can
also lead to problems. PRTG allows administrators to ensure their databases are constantly available and performing in an optimal manner.

Microsoft SQL: Microsoft’s database solution is also in widespread use. With the WMI Microsoft SQL Server sensors you can monitor your SQL database.

This training is designed for MS SQL Databas Administrators who need to build a unified monitoring scheme of all servers and databases

The course focuses on the necessary skills to monitor different database layers, including:
– Hardware: Memory, Processor, Traffic, Disks, etc.
– Operating System: Services, Logs, Updates, etc.
– Database Core: Spaces of the tempdb, connections volume, number of blocked cyberattacks, etc.
