Objective
- Objective: This course explains why monitoring is necessary in an IT environment. Conceptual development is based on an environmental monitoring device which measures diverse environmental conditions: temperature, humidity, movement, vibration are metrics easy to grasp by non-technical people easing comprehension of the subject and the benefits of monitoring. During the course the explanations are given through every day analogies of technical subjects such as devices, protocols, IP address and ports.
- Description: Students with no technical background will learn the concept of monitoring by presenting every day analogies to the different areas of a monitoring system. Through hands-on labs they will create an environmental monitoring system with a device, several sensors and the alerting system.
- Prerequisites: None.
